Kaj Sundén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Kjellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Kaj Sundén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Lönn kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Kaj Sundén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Hallgren in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Thor Blomkvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jimmy Engman. Bromma IP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thor Blomkvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. BK Rumpa's Kaj Sundén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Lundgren in the 37th minute of play. If Thor Blomkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Thor Blomkvist came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the BK Rumpa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thor Blomkvist couldn't finish the play. Rutger Bruhn's late challenge caught a Bromma IP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rutger Bruhn helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes BK Rumpa got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Bruhn. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Kjellkvist in the 53rd minute of play forced BK Rumpa's goalkeeper Kaj Sundén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Holmberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Thor Blomkvist sped through Bromma IP's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jimmy Engman. Thor Blomkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimmy Engman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Thor Blomkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy Engman was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the match, Bromma IP's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Käcker came free, but Jimmy Engman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bromma IP's Jimmy Engman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Blomkvist in the 91st minute of play.
