In the 4th minute of the match Sigvard Näfver shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niklas Abrahamsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dag Bern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Abrahamsson having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Solberga's Kjell-Arne Söderman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kjell-Arne Söderman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Solberga protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kjell-Arne Söderman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 13th minute, one of Solberga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Solberga. Martin Ersman kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Kasper Blomberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solberga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasper Blomberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
