Spectators: 7281 (Terracing: 5463, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Botsmark's Lucas Giliusson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Mathias Asplund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helge Nordgren. Botsmark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Asplund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Joacim Rönn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Helge Nordgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Samuel Mogren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Giliusson in the 14th minute. Lucas Giliusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Mogren having to interfere. In the 18th minute Mathias Asplund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helge Nordgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Botsmark's Helge Nordgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joacim Rönn in the 19th minute of play. Helge Nordgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Asplund in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Lindholm in the 23rd minute of play forced Botsmark's goalkeeper Helge Nordgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joacim Rönn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Helge Nordgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mathias Asplund came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Sikfors RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Asplund couldn't finish the play. Helge Nordgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gottfrid Nordström in the 30th minute of play. Samuel Mogren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucas Giliusson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 35 minute of play. Tord Kjellqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helge Nordgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Asplund went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Helge Nordgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Asplund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Sikfors RK were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathias Asplund to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Botsmark's goalkeeper Helge Nordgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joacim Rönn. After 56 minutes, Jens-Åke Hermansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botsmark and the Sikfors RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sikfors RK booed when Botsmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mikael Uter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kåre Nyman hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Samuel Mogren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Uter, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With an all-out effort, Sikfors RK's Helge Nordgren threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mathias Asplund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Helge Nordgren was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Tord Kjellqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tord Kjellqvist really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. 79 minutes into the match, Botsmark's Lucas Giliusson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Mogren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Helge Nordgren made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Joacim Rönn sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joacim Rönn got free with Helge Nordgren in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Botsmark booed when Sikfors RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Asplund didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lucas Giliusson came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Botsmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Giliusson couldn't finish the play. Botsmark's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Örjan Lindholm scored to the left of an out of position Helge Nordgren, making the score, 1-5. Samuel Mogren came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Botsmark's Mikael Uter. But to his dismay, Mikael Uter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. The Sikfors RK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sikfors RK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
