When Tomas Lundhberg came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Fatburen IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Lundhberg couldn't finish the play. Alf Eliasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ian Bagge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alf Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alf Eliasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Bagge having to interfere. Tomas Lundhberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ian Bagge made a huge save. If Tomas Lundhberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alf Eliasson made a kick off. Stellan Bennet kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Tord Eklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burgsvik IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Eklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Ekrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ian Bagge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Eliasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Tord Eklund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
