In the 15th minute Bo Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Wallander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes, Mantorp's Jens-Åke Wiklund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ingemar Strand came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mantorp reached it. After having played for 19 minutes, Lars-Erik Westerstrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mantorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Erik Westerstrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lars-Erik Westerstrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roland Ahlroht's late challenge caught a FC Kofsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roland Ahlroht helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mantorp's Roland Ahlroht got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ingemar Zachrisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingemar Strand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lars-Erik Westerstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars-Erik Westerstrand to strike the kick off in the second half. When Klas Hedkvist came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the FC Kofsa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klas Hedkvist couldn't finish the play. FC Kofsa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Lars-Erik Westerstrand scored to the left of an out of position Ingemar Strand, making the score, 0-3. Mantorp were furious when Hugo Finsberg was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave FC Kofsa a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frank Ekeroth, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mantorp's Alexander Wallander. 1-3. Roland Ahlroht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ingemar Strand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
