Vallapojkarna's Christian Hökkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isak Dahlkvist in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match AS ROMA got a corner. Vallapojkarna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 43rd minute, William Törnqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vallapojkarna's attentive Folke Mattsson managed to snatch the ball when Kristian Siggesson made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isak Dahlkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per Stenström in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Sjödin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vallapojkarna's Folke Mattsson got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Stenström in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Sjödin saved AS ROMA from getting behind. There was no doubt that Vallapojkarna were the better team. Vallapojkarna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
