Birka IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skepplanda the free kick. A collision led to Birka IF getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gösta Byström hit a great ball. Charlie Vestlund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dan Gallin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. Roland Christoffersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Charlie Vestlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Gallin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Vestlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Dan Gallin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skepplanda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Gallin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dan Gallin came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Skepplanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Gallin couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Dan Gallin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Charlie Vestlund. The goal made the score 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ingmar Björkqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
