In the 6th minute there was a penalty for IFK Orust. Einar Hansson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claes Vallin. 1-0. After having played for 12 minutes, Birger Öberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Långås's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Öberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Hedlund in the 15th minute of play forced IFK Orust's goalkeeper Alfons Lekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erland Kämpe kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Calle Hedlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. The Långås fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claes Vallin should have stopped the shot. Långås's Claes Vallin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Långås from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With an all-out effort, Långås's Alfons Lekberg threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ingvar Hermansson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Evert Olsman hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Hans Wickander was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. Göran Löfgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Vallin having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Långås's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Löfgren came free, but Claes Vallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The IFK Orust fans cheered their team off the field, for while Långås had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
