The referee ignored Vilhelmina's protests and gave Axel Asmundsson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vilhelmina getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Axel Asmundsson hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Eric Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obbola BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Hellkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Knut Nilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Hellkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Sakarias Igelström hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Obbola BF's Ragnar Enegren tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Freddie Stenman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dan Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Stenman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Knut Nilsson struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Dan Hellkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obbola BF. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Knut Nilsson in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Hellkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Obbola BF's Knut Nilsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dan Hellkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dan Hellkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Knut Nilsson's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Knut Nilsson took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Hellkvist. Dan Hellkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Knut Nilsson made the kick off in the second half. When Obbola BF's Knut Nilsson in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vilhelmina's goalie prevented a goal. Dan Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Nilsson in the 58th minute of play. Dan Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Nilsson in the 64th minute of the match. Mattias Abelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Lundgren in the 77th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Ståhlman during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sten Ståhlman hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Jörgen Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Abelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Freddie Stenman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obbola BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddie Stenman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knut Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Obbola BF's Knut Nilsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dan Hellkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Obbola BF's zone, Henrik Billock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Abelsson came out of the goal and Henrik Billock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Obbola BF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vilhelmina throughout the match.
