In the 7th minute Kjell Biörnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Kjell Biörnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sjölidens BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjell Biörnberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Pettersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robert Pettersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Biörnberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Michael Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Paulin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Åre's zone, Kjell Biörnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Pettersson came out of the goal and Kjell Biörnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd match minute, Åre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Asklund to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 55 in the game by Michael Paulin from a close distance when the talented Robert Pettersson managed to make a qualified save. Åre's players were relieved. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Kjell Biörnberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Åre's goalkeeper Robert Pettersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Sjölidens BK's Michael Paulin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Pettersson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Söderlund in the 96th minute of play forced Sjölidens BK's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Gullesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sjölidens BK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
