Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Filip Petersson got the match started through his kick off. Viskafors IK's Gert Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Söderlund in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute Karl-Ove Söderlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Lang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Viskafors IK got a freekick which was hit by Casper Alegren. Viskafors IK's Gert Lang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Viskafors IK from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Inge Arhenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viskafors IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Inge Arhenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Pettersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Viskafors IK getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leif Alegren hit a great ball. When Karl-Ove Söderlund came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Åre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Ove Söderlund couldn't finish the play. Philip Asklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Lang having to interfere. Åre's Karl-Ove Söderlund got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Felin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gert Lang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Söderlund in the 44th minute of play forced Viskafors IK's goalkeeper Gert Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig-Åke Alfors charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig-Åke Alfors the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Viskafors IK's Stig-Åke Alfors got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Karl-Ove Söderlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Ove Söderlund to make the kick off. Peter Siöberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gert Lang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Karl-Ove Söderlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Lang having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Åre's Karl-Ove Söderlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gert Lang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 58th minute, Peter Siöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Kjell Hedlund in the 59th minute really tested Robert Pettersson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Robert Pettersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inge Arhenius in the 61st minute. Inge Arhenius struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Robert Pettersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viskafors IK. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Ove Söderlund in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gert Lang saved Viskafors IK from getting behind. If Emanuel Felin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Karl-Ove Söderlund came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Åre fans jumped to their feet. In the 83rd match minute, Viskafors IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell-Arne Bure to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match Åre got a corner. Viskafors IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmund Nordal ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 90 minutes, Karl-Ove Söderlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Ove Söderlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Petersson in the 95th minute of play. Åre's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
