United F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alf Söderlund charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alf Söderlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, United F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Söderlund to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Bror Nyström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sture Berggren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The audience was convinced that Erik Karlsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sture Berggren was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Sture Berggren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute August Mossberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sture Berggren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Karlsson was the one to do the kick off. Sture Berggren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from August Mossberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. August Mossberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sture Berggren came out and tried to block the shot, but August Mossberg slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 55th minute. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 64 minutes into the match, Vilhelm Mager had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sture Berggren. United F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilhelm Mager was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After 68 played minutes Lillpitt IFK got a freekick which was hit by Vilhelm Mager. Sture Berggren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Koch in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute August Mossberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sture Berggren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sture Berggren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hubert Ekberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 86 minute of play. United F.C's Sture Berggren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by August Mossberg in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Lillpitt IFK's Hubert Ekberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sture Berggren. Sture Berggren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. The United F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lillpitt IFK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
