Stig Ivarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Näver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Jakob Olofsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rättelöv Flamingos's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Olofsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig Ivarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Jonathan Näver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Ivarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind MK Dons's goalkeeper Stig Ivarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pontus Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kennet Mellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Rättelöv Flamingos's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Colin came free, but Kennet Mellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hans Carlsson's late challenge caught a MK Dons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hans Carlsson helped the player get up and apologised. Hans Carlsson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Jonathan Näver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Ivarsson having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jonathan Näver made the kick off in the second half. Pontus Ivarsson struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Kennet Mellberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MK Dons. Jonathan Näver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Stig Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kennet Mellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Colin, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Stig Ivarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Näver in the 83rd minute of the match. Rättelöv Flamingos's Kennet Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Colin in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Olofsson in the 92nd minute of play forced MK Dons's goalkeeper Stig Ivarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Jonathan Näver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rättelöv Flamingos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Näver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
