Pontus Ivarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernt Beneth having to interfere. If Torbjörn Alströmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Carlberg during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MK Dons booed when Pink Fluffy Unicorns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Carlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sven-Olof Palmquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Ivarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute Sture Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Ivarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With splendid footwork Sture Persson arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-2 by the left pole in the game's 80th minute. Sture Persson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Stig Ivarsson 83 minutes into the match. Torbjörn Alströmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven-Olof Palmquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Ivarsson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pink Fluffy Unicorns's zone, Pontus Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Beneth came out of the goal and Pontus Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pink Fluffy Unicorns played a much better game than MK Dons and deserved their victory. The MK Dons players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
