Stig-Arne Josefsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Vätö BK booed when Pepsi BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ian Lingren struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Patrik Kvarnström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vätö BK. Torsten Sjögren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Melander having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Erling Blomkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vätö BK and the Pepsi BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vätö BK's Erling Blomkvist got a free kick in the 13th minute. Vätö BK's Olof Melander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Vätö BK from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the game, Olov Grelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vätö BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pepsi BK the free kick. After 19 played minutes Vätö BK got a freekick which was hit by Olov Grelsson. In the 20th minute of the match Gustaf Lindsten sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olof Melander skillfully saved the ball. Michel Skark's late challenge caught a Pepsi BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Skark helped the player get up and apologised. 33 minutes into the match, Pepsi BK's Jens-Ove Helberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olof Melander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Vätö BK's Hampus Ahlerot made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrik Kvarnström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Pepsi BK's zone, Hampus Ahlerot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Kvarnström came out of the goal and Hampus Ahlerot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrik Kvarnström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Lingren, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Vätö BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Lingren was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ian Lingren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vätö BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Lingren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Kvarnström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute, Stig-Arne Josefsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes Ian Lingren rounded Pepsi BK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. In the 68th match minute, Vätö BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Skoog to maneuver through the defense. Jens-Ove Helberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Niklas Smitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Melander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Niklas Smitt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olof Melander. Vätö BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niklas Smitt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of Vätö BK booed when Pepsi BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torsten Sjögren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olof Melander having to make a save. A collision led to Vätö BK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Olov Grelsson hit a great ball. Jens-Ove Helberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olof Melander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Helberg in the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Vätö BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Helberg came free, but Olof Melander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hampus Ahlerot who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Patrik Kvarnström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 100th minute Ian Lingren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Kvarnström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Vätö BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vätö BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
