Edvin Nordstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvin Nordstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Olof Melander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ian Lingren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Ekgren having to interfere. Hampus Ahlerot scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urban Ekgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Edvin Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute of the match Eskil Ström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Urban Ekgren skillfully saved the ball. Hampus Ahlerot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Ekgren having to interfere. Jens-Erik Nordin charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jens-Erik Nordin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, Sandsjöfors IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Erik Nordin to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Torsten Kihlberg from long distance, 40 minutes into the match, got Urban Ekgren's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Hampus Ahlerot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ian Lingren made a kick off. When Edvin Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Sandsjöfors IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvin Karlsson couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Vätö BK's goalkeeper Olof Melander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvin Nordstedt. Vätö BK's Olof Melander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Vätö BK from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Vätö BK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edvin Karlsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Urban Ekgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Lingren, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Ian Lingren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Ekgren having to interfere. Ian Lingren struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Urban Ekgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vätö BK. 78 minutes into the game, Olle Bryngelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sandsjöfors IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vätö BK the free kick. A collision led to Sandsjöfors IK getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Olle Bryngelsson hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Ian Lingren made a precise shot to the right of Urban Ekgren. Sandsjöfors IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Edvin Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sandsjöfors IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvin Karlsson couldn't finish the play. Edvin Nordstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Karlsson in the 92nd minute of play forced Vätö BK's goalkeeper Olof Melander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Hampus Ahlerot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urban Ekgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandsjöfors IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
