The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, BYT NAMN's Elliott Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute, Sven-Edvin Kihlman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Sven-Edvin Kihlman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Sven-Edvin Kihlman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valter Palmkvist was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Sven-Edvin Kihlman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sven-Edvin Kihlman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Brian Björkmans short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Valter Palmkvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Valter Palmkvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sven-Edvin Kihlman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. BYT NAMN's Valter Palmkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save BYT NAMN from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Kihlman in the 36th minute of play forced BYT NAMN's goalkeeper Valter Palmkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elliott Abrahamsson came free in the 41st minute and tried to tip the ball over Tobias Pil, but to the joy of Skanör BF's supporters the ball went over. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Sven-Edvin Kihlman made the kick off in the second half. The corner led Skanör BF's Erland Biörkman to fire away a dangerous shot which Valter Palmkvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Sven-Edvin Kihlman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Skanör BF booed when BYT NAMN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Hybbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Sven-Edvin Kihlman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skanör BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Edvin Kihlman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valter Palmkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven-Edvin Kihlman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Valter Palmkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valter Palmkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Björkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Brian Björkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Skanör BF's Sven-Edvin Kihlman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valter Palmkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gustaf Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valter Palmkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Kihlman in the 97th minute of the match. When Birger Anundsson fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BYT NAMN's protests and gave Birger Anundsson a yellow card for diving instead. Birger Anundsson hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Skanör BF fully deserved thier win.
