He was immediately shown a red card. In the 9th minute, one of Algott IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Algott IF. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Ammarnäs RK. Herbert Vallmark stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kevin Malmgren. 0-2. After some careless play in the Algott IF defense, Kim Skytt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Malmgren. The Algott IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Malmgren should have stopped the shot. Kevin Malmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvid Byström in the 19th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Ammarnäs RK got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Strömqvist. 24 minutes into the match, Claes Jernberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Malmgren. Algott IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claes Jernberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Börje Lustig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Malmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvid Byström, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Ammarnäs RK's Claes Jernberg made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kevin Malmgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Algott IF's Börje Lustig got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Claes Jernberg notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Algott IF's Kevin Malmgren. Kevin Malmgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kevin Malmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Stenquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Ammarnäs RK were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Algott IF's Isaac Igelström got a free kick in the 58th minute. Herbert Vallmark recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Malmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Jernberg in the 60th minute of the match. Kevin Malmgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Stenquist in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Jernberg in the 84th minute of play forced Algott IF's goalkeeper Kevin Malmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Stenquist kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 85thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Algott IF's keeper Kevin Malmgren was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kevin Malmgren made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Arvid Byström sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Simon Stenquist made a precise shot to the right of Kevin Malmgren. Algott IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Ammarnäs RK's Hans Gustavsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Lustig in the 95th minute of play.
