The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ljungbyholm FK's Mathias Ekenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Klint in the 5th minute of play. Gunnar Hultman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Bivall having to interfere. Viggo Ahlkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Gunnar Hultman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dag Klint struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Mathias Ekenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glava BK. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Glava BK's goalkeeper Ian Bivall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunnar Hultman got free with Ian Bivall in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Gunnar Hultman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ljungbyholm FK's goalkeeper Mathias Ekenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. August Qvalfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Glava BK's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Olsson came free, but Ian Bivall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunnar Hultman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Bivall having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Kevin Olsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ian Bivall, passed just outside the right post. After some careless play in the Glava BK defense, Gunnar Hultman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ian Bivall. The Glava BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ian Bivall should have stopped the shot. Gunnar Hultman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ian Bivall 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Dag Klint who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Mathias Ekenberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kevin Olsson struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ian Bivall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljungbyholm FK. Gunnar Hultman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kevin Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Hultman in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Bivall saved Glava BK from getting behind. Gunnar Hultman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ian Bivall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kevin Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glava BK's Ian Bivall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Olsson in the 66th minute of play. Gunnar Hultman might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ian Bivall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gunnar Hultman ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Dag Klint managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glava BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Dag Klint was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Ekenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ljungbyholm FK's Viggo Bergqvist got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Kevin Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kevin Olsson came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ljungbyholm FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Olsson couldn't finish the play. After 81 played minutes Ljungbyholm FK got a freekick which was hit by Ian Sikström. Edmund Wallander struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Mathias Ekenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glava BK. Ian Bivall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gunnar Hultman went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 90 minutes, Gunnar Hultman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ljungbyholm FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Hultman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elliott Stor kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Ian Bivall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Olsson in the 92nd minute of the match. Kevin Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ian Bivall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ljungbyholm FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
