The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Björn Bolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Kinell having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Sunne Juniorer's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Bergren came free, but Reine Håkansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Björn Bolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Albert Ryberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reine Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Sunne Juniorer's Reine Håkansson got control of the ball when Mats Olsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reine Håkansson came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Abborrträsk BK's Mats Olsson. But to his dismay, Mats Olsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Björn Bolin struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Emanuel Kinell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunne Juniorer. Reine Håkansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niclas Bergren in the 42nd minute of the match. Albert Ryberg succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Ryberg to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Ryberg in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reine Håkansson saved Sunne Juniorer from getting behind. Mats Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Reine Håkansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reine Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Levander in the 66th minute of play.
