With a left leg Arvid Nilsson saved Hammers BK from getting behind. A hard shot 13 in the game by Bo Stålberg from a close distance when the talented Bengt Näfver managed to make a qualified save. Vinberg's players were relieved. Rikard Gunnarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arvid Nilsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Arvid Nilsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Bengt Näfver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bo Stålberg in the 19th minute. If Robert Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Linus Blomkvist fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammers BK's protests and gave Linus Blomkvist a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vinberg booed when Hammers BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Linus Blomkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvid Nilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Kruuse in the 32nd minute of play. Georg Lindman charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Georg Lindman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hammers BK's Georg Lindman got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rikard Gunnarsson in the 33rd minute of play forced Hammers BK's goalkeeper Arvid Nilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Vinberg's Robert Kruuse made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arvid Nilsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Kruuse in the 41st minute of play forced Hammers BK's goalkeeper Arvid Nilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rikard Gunnarsson struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Arvid Nilsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vinberg. 45 minutes into the game, Robert Kruuse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Arvid Nilsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Lindholm to strike the kick off in the second half. Robert Kruuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Arvid Nilsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rikard Gunnarsson got free with Arvid Nilsson in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arvid Nilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Kruuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arvid Nilsson made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Rikard Gunnarsson sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 80 minutes, Robert Kruuse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Kruuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Kruuse in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arvid Nilsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Robert Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arvid Nilsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Kruuse, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Robert Kruuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arvid Nilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Kruuse in the 91st minute of play. The Vinberg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vinberg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
