An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Valström in the 14th minute of play forced Järnforsen IFK's goalkeeper Viktor Winström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Winström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Valström, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Albert Nordlander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Järnforsen IFK. In the 44th minute Karl-Johan Tönnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Nordlander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Nordlander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Billberg in the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Mellerud booed when Järnforsen IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Björkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Järnforsen IFK's zone, Magnus Fanström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Winström came out of the goal and Magnus Fanström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Mellerud's goalkeeper Albert Nordlander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Björkman. Mellerud's Albert Nordlander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philip Åström in the 75th minute of play. If Isac Björkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isac Björkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes, Leonardo Wallin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mellerud and the Järnforsen IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Mellerud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Wallin to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Nordlander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Leonardo Wallin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. Isac Björkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
