Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Karl-Ove Forsberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. George Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Lång having to interfere. The audience was convinced that George Lindgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Krister Lång was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Krister Lång made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Lindgren in the 7th minute of play. Jan Alströmer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Krister Lång having to make a save. In the 11th minute, Per Nyman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Nyman in the 13th minute of play forced Ramnäs BF's goalkeeper Krister Lång to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramnäs BF's Krister Lång played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Lindgren in the 15th minute of play. Börje Vall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Ove Forsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Krister Lång showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Nyman, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Krister Lång didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Lindgren went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 24th minute of the match Kåre Pilblad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Krister Lång showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. George Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Krister Lång tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lotorp IFK's Börje Vall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Forsberg in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Lotorp IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Isaksson to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Ove Forsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ramnäs BF's goalkeeper Krister Lång, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Börje Vall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viktor Hellbom in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Nyman in the 42nd minute of play forced Ramnäs BF's goalkeeper Krister Lång to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ramnäs BF's zone, George Lindgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krister Lång came out of the goal and George Lindgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Viktor Hellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per Nyman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Lotorp IFK's Krister Lång threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Per Nyman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Per Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Krister Lång tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Ramnäs BF got a freekick which was hit by Folke Ahlberg. After having played for 76 minutes, George Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lotorp IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Lindgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 minutes, Jan Hansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ramnäs BF and the Lotorp IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ramnäs BF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! 87 minutes into the game, George Lindgren lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Krister Lång. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Lindgren got free with Krister Lång in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Lotorp IFK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Matthias Lundberg hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Torgny Lingren sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lotorp IFK's Börje Vall didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Karl-Ove Forsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramnäs BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Ove Forsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börje Vall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
