Spectators: 6670 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jimmie Åkesson started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Helsingborgs F A getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Wictor Rosendahl hit a great ball. After 5 minutes Helsingborgs F A's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karl Granberg who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Finspång's corner Karl Granberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leo Hellström quite easily take care of the ball. Ove Wik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Hellström having to make a save. After 22 played minutes Finspång got a freekick which was hit by Vilgot Sundström. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ove Wik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Finspång's supporters rose to their feet, but Ove Wik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ove Wik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Finspång's André Granqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Finspång from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Helsingborgs F A getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ingmar Holmberg hit a great ball. Finspång's Ove Wik got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ove Wik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Leo Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ove Wik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Hellström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Helsingborgs F A's Jimmie Åkesson got a free kick in the 47th minute. The audience was convinced that Ove Wik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Hellström was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ove Wik made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Finspång's Nils Tönnberg got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ove Wik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Hellström having to interfere. If Ove Wik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arvin Spetz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Leo Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ove Wik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilgot Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute, Nils Tönnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Finspång's goalkeeper André Granqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Ove Wik fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Leo Hellström, passed just outside the right post. Jimmie Åkesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Finspång were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
