Racti F.C.'s Ian Örtendal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Spets in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Racti F.C. getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Leonardo Östensson hit a great ball. Ian Örtendal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Åberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Örtendal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Spets in the 14th minute of play. Ian Örtendal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Spets, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Nils Spets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Södra Sunderbyn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Spets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pelle Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Örtendal having to interfere. A collision led to Södra Sunderbyn getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Göran Eskilsson hit a great ball. Arne Hedström hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Södra Sunderbyn's zone, Lars Lindholm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Malm came out of the goal and Lars Lindholm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pelle Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Örtendal having to interfere. Nils Spets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars Lindholm to make the kick off. Ian Örtendal was a little too slow when Pelle Åberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-1. Ian Örtendal made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Nils Spets sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Nils Spets kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ian Örtendal. That made the score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. If Nils Spets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Spets who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Ian Örtendal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Södra Sunderbyn's Pelle Åberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ian Örtendal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Södra Sunderbyn were awarded a corner. Patrik Törnblom went to the cornerflag to take it. Pelle Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Örtendal having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Uno Wennerqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ian Örtendal. That made the score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. In the 82nd minute Pelle Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Örtendal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Racti F.C.'s goalkeeper Ian Örtendal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils Spets. 89 minutes into the match, Racti F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pelle Åberg came free, but Ian Örtendal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Ian Örtendal managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Södra Sunderbyn's Nils Spets fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ian Örtendal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Spets, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Södra Sunderbyn supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Södra Sunderbyn would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
