The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kevin Brander hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Horndal's Henry Kvist got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jan Vassenius. If August Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Lönn in the 11th minute of play forced Horndal's goalkeeper Roger Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Horndal got a freekick which was hit by Joacim Berggren. Joacim Berggren got his second yellow card in the match during the 20th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Joacim Berggren hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Roger Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from August Petersson in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Horndal's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Lönn came free, but Roger Forsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26thth minute of the game August Petersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horndal's Roger Forsberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Chany FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hampus Wennerquist fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Chany FC's Jan Vassenius got control of the ball when Folke Haegg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 played minutes Horndal got a freekick which was hit by Folke Haegg. Kevin Askberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger Forsberg. Horndal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A hard shot 41 in the game by Hampus Wennerquist from a close distance when the talented Jan Vassenius managed to make a qualified save. Chany FC's players were relieved. If Hampus Wennerquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 61st minute, Johannes Lönn made a precise shot to the right of Roger Forsberg. Horndal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Per-Åke Billock came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Horndal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Åke Billock couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hampus Wennerquist in the 90th minute of play forced Chany FC's goalkeeper Jan Vassenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hampus Wennerquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of Chany FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Horndal had held the ball for most of the match.
