In the 16th minute, Jon Lundin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ärla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Kennet Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Ärla got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Kjellbom. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Norberg in the 30th minute of play forced Ärla's goalkeeper Fredrik Frisk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Åke Bålström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Fredrik Frisk skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kennet Norberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fredrik Frisk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Jan-Åke Bålström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Frisk having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carl Beckeman to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Beckeman in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Levander saved Arholma IFK from getting behind. Jon Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Beckeman struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Hans Levander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ärla. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Norberg in the 64th minute of play forced Ärla's goalkeeper Fredrik Frisk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carl Beckeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Arholma IFK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Kenny Gummeson hit a great ball. Kennet Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Fredrik Frisk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredrik Frisk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kennet Norberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Jon Lundin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hans Levander. That made the score 1-2 in the 77 minute of play. Jan-Åke Bålström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tage Bergman hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes, Tage Bergman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arholma IFK and the Ärla players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Arholma IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Bergman to maneuver through the defense. If Kennet Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ärla's Fredrik Frisk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Åke Bålström in the 90th minute of play. Jon Lundin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jon Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Mathias Blomberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ärla's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
