In the 30thth minute of the game Emanuel Ahlroth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ödåkra IFK's Björn Hagberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ödåkra IFK's zone, Sven-Arne Dahlgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Hagberg came out of the goal and Sven-Arne Dahlgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Andreasson during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The long shot by Bo Sjöberg in the 44th minute really tested Felix Sjöberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Felix Sjöberg made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Daniel Lundström sent off a good shot on target. After 47 minutes of play Skebobruk's Andreas Andreasson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Skebobruk getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Andreas Andreasson hit a great ball. Felix Sjöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Blom in the 49th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Arne Dahlgren to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Skebobruk getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jimmie Stensson hit a great ball. Sven-Arne Dahlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Emanuel Ahlroth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skebobruk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Ahlroth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven-Arne Dahlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Björn Hagberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bo Sjöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When John Vennerberg fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skebobruk's protests and gave John Vennerberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ödåkra IFK booed when Skebobruk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Vennerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Arne Dahlgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Björn Hagberg made a huge save.
