Viggestorp FC's Mikael Frisk got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sixten Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikael Frisk in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Frisk got free with Sixten Söderström in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 12 played minutes Stensele got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Ahlkvist. A hard shot 13 in the game by Mikael Frisk from a close distance when the talented Sixten Söderström managed to make a qualified save. Stensele's players were relieved. Stensele's Sixten Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Danielsson in the 14th minute of play. Leif Danielsson struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Sixten Söderström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viggestorp FC. Viggestorp FC's Karl-Erik Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Sandberg in the 26th minute of play. Christer Söderqwist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christer Söderqwist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Erik Ekrot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Thomas Sandberg notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Viggestorp FC's Karl-Erik Ekrot. Karl-Erik Ekrot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Stensele getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Leonardo Ahlkvist hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Danielsson in the 41st minute of play forced Stensele's goalkeeper Sixten Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Christer Söderqwist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Erik Ekrot was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 47th minute Thomas Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leif Danielsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Leonardo Ahlkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stensele and the Viggestorp FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Stensele's zone, Mikael Frisk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixten Söderström came out of the goal and Mikael Frisk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Viggestorp FC's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Ekrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christer Söderqwist. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hjalmar Öberg during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Mikael Frisk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Stensele booed when Viggestorp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Sandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Sandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Erik Ekrot having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Christer Söderqwist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stensele's supporters rose to their feet, but Christer Söderqwist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Erik Ekrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Viggestorp FC's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Ekrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christer Söderqwist. Mikael Frisk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Sixten Söderström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Viggestorp FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stensele were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
