After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jan Ekeroth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gökböle BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Ekeroth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Ekrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mark Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Linberg in the 42nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Johan Alebom in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Ahlquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Henriksson in the 54th minute of play forced Gökböle BK's goalkeeper Ian Ahlquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Kälarne FK's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Ekeroth came free, but Mark Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Jan Ekeroth took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Mark Ekrot to make any attempt to save it. Gökböle BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Ekeroth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jan Ekeroth came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Gökböle BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Ekeroth couldn't finish the play. Matthias Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ian Ahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Karl-Johan Alebom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Kälarne FK's Mark Ekrot got control of the ball when Ernst Linberg tried to sneak it across the goal line.
