Spectators: 7263 (Terracing: 5449, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emanuel Mattsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Emanuel Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Fågel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Emanuel Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Ingmar Benett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Börge Colin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torsten Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Fågel having to interfere. Erik Fågel came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Slöinge IK's Börge Colin. But to his dismay, Börge Colin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 27th match minute, Slöinge IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Bergström to maneuver through the defense. Anders Wikander struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jon Ahlbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trädgårdsstadens IF. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Emanuel Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slöinge IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Mattsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Fågel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Trädgårdsstadens IF booed when Slöinge IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ove Wennerquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Börge Colin struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Erik Fågel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slöinge IK. Börge Colin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Fågel having to interfere. If Börge Colin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anders Wikander to strike the kick off in the second half. Erik Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börge Colin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anders Wikander during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anders Wikander hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Erik Fågel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Mattsson in the 60th minute of play. Anders Wikander might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jon Ahlbom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anders Wikander ran back to his position shaking his head. When Brian Nordal came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Trädgårdsstadens IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brian Nordal couldn't finish the play. Brian Nordal took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jon Ahlbom. Jon Ahlbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Erik Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Wennerquist in the 77th minute of the match. Alf Stigsson hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Börge Colin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erik Fågel was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th minute Börge Colin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Fågel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Colin, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Trädgårdsstadens IF players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Slöinge IK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
