The supporters of Oskarshamn IFK booed when FC Gilleville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Kalle Bergqvist got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Oskarshamn IFK's Nils-Emil Ahlkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Kleen in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Kleen in the 45th minute of play forced Oskarshamn IFK's goalkeeper Nils-Emil Ahlkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Kleen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Emil Ahlkvist having to interfere.

In the 56th minute there was a penalty for FC Gilleville. Rune Olsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nils-Emil Ahlkvist. 1-1. Nils-Emil Ahlkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Kleen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Måns Nässén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Emil Ahlkvist came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gilleville's Kjell-Arne Burman. But to his dismay, Kjell-Arne Burman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 83rd minute of the match, Kjell-Arne Burman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nils-Emil Ahlkvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Gilleville's goalkeeper Egon Hjälm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Egon Hjälm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greger Walmarsson in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Gilleville's Henning Lidberg got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Oskarshamn IFK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
