With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vidar Björkdal in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikael Lidman saved Storviken from getting behind. Sverker Gustafsson kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Jörgen Löfkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Egon Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Storviken's zone, Marcus Alebäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikael Lidman came out of the goal and Marcus Alebäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 minutes, Vidar Björkdal made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Storviken's Mikael Lidman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vidar Björkdal was the one to do the kick off. Jörgen Löfkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Holmberg having to interfere. Sverker Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Lidman having to interfere. Mikael Lidman stood somewhat misplaced when Vidar Björkdal came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Jens-Ove Torsberg struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Egon Holmberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Storviken. Wiktor Lindholm took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikael Lidman. Mikael Lidman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Sverker Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mikael Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Vårby IK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Storviken throughout the match.
