After a defensive mix-up in Kvillsfors IFK's zone, Per Britz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Kinnman came out of the goal and Per Britz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Jörgen Brolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Kinnman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jörgen Brolin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonard Kinnman was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Britz in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Kinnman saved Kvillsfors IFK from getting behind. Harald Gulliksson made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Jörgen Klint sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kvillsfors IFK's goalkeeper Leonard Kinnman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rinc FK's Pål Häger got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Per Britz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When Jörgen Klint fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kvillsfors IFK's protests and gave Jörgen Klint a yellow card for diving instead. Jörgen Klint hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the game, Inge Flink was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rinc FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kvillsfors IFK the free kick. After 68 played minutes Rinc FK got a freekick which was hit by Inge Flink. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Klint in the 71st minute of play forced Rinc FK's goalkeeper Harald Gulliksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Bammerman kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Harald Gulliksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Rosin, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The supporters of Kvillsfors IFK booed when Rinc FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Flink didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonard Kinnman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per Britz in the 96th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
