That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After 6 minutes, Sixten Björkman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mörlunda and the Rinc FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Mörlunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Björkman to maneuver through the defense. Per Britz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Patrik Ödman made a huge save. Mörlunda's Patrik Ödman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Mörlunda from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Rinc FK booed when Mörlunda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiktor Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Viggo Björkman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mörlunda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Patrik Ödman made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Per Britz sent off a good shot on target. Pål Häger in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Patrik Ödman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonatan Odin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Gulliksson having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ture Ingvall to make the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Rinc FK's Jörgen Brolin made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrik Ödman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patrik Ödman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per Britz's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Sixten Björkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Rinc FK's Ture Ingvall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrik Ödman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 67 minutes into the match, Mörlunda's Viggo Björkman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harald Gulliksson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per Britz in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Ödman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the game, Jörgen Brolin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rinc FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mörlunda the free kick. Patrik Ödman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ture Ingvall's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rinc FK's zone, Viggo Björkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Gulliksson came out of the goal and Viggo Björkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per Britz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrik Ödman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
