Spectators: 6525 (Terracing: 4750, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stig-Åke Vase started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Stig-Åke Vase got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernt Johansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Göran Lindqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Söderfors's zone, Olof Tillman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göran Lindqvist came out of the goal and Olof Tillman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Söderfors's Göran Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Vase in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, Söderfors's Göran Lindqvist got control of the ball when Rickard Pihlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olof Tillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Per-Arne Gråberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Göran Lindqvist. Per-Arne Gråberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 21st minute Yngve Säf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig-Åke Vase struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Göran Lindqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hallstahammar. Olof Tillman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Lindqvist having to interfere. Yngve Säf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Rickard Pihlberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Göran Lindqvist made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Bernt Johansson sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Göran Lindqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Hallstahammar's Stig-Åke Vase fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Göran Lindqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernt Johansson in the 38th minute. Stig-Åke Vase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Lindqvist having to interfere. Söderfors's Göran Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Säf in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Bernt Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hallstahammar's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Johansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Göran Lindqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walter Ennegren was the one to do the kick off. Olof Tillman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Lindqvist having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Hallstahammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickard Pihlberg to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Hallstahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Bryngelsson came free, but Dan Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yngve Säf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Bernt Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hallstahammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Åke Vase was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Olof Tillman came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Hallstahammar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olof Tillman couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Åke Vase in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Göran Lindqvist saved Söderfors from getting behind. When Per-Arne Gråberg came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Hallstahammar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Arne Gråberg couldn't finish the play. After having played for 86 minutes, Olof Tillman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hallstahammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Tillman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Åke Vase in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göran Lindqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olof Tillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Söderfors's Göran Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Gråberg in the 96th minute of play. Hallstahammar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
