In the 12thth minute of the game Gert Termander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arkelstorp's Christian Helander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Gert Termander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Askersund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Termander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Kaj Torstensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Askersund's Gert Termander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christian Helander. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Arne Skoglund during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee ignored Askersund's protests and gave Albert Albohm a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Albert Albohm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Helander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albert Albohm's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Askersund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pontus Alfors to maneuver through the defense. Christian Helander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Termander, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niklas Ingemarsson during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Askersund's Karl-Axel Ekeroth got a free kick in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niklas Ingemarsson got free with Krister Sigfridsson in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Albert Albohm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Helander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Termander, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert Termander in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Helander saved Arkelstorp from getting behind. Kaj Torstensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Krister Sigfridsson made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Gert Termander put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Christian Helander. When the referee ended the match the Askersund players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
