Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Sören Termander successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Göran Johansson took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sören Termander. Sören Termander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Askestät got free with Sören Termander in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Alexander Askestät had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sören Termander. Gunnarsbyn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexander Askestät was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Skinnskatteberg's Timmy Gustafsson got a free kick in the 15th minute. Allan Lundqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leif Söderberg's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute of the match, Carl Bäcklin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sören Termander saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 22 minutes into the match, Gunnarsbyn's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Bäcklin came free, but Sören Termander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Söderberg's late challenge caught a Skinnskatteberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Söderberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Gunnarsbyn got a freekick which was hit by Leif Söderberg. The supporters of Gunnarsbyn booed when Skinnskatteberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunnarsbyn's Leif Söderberg got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With 29 minutes on the clock, Richard Håning commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Skinnskatteberg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gunnarsbyn:s goal. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Gunnarsbyn. Arne Åkesson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Allan Lundqvist. 2-1. Göran Johansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Sören Termander made a huge save. When Pär Fridlund fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunnarsbyn's protests and gave Pär Fridlund a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Göran Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skinnskatteberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göran Johansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Gunnarsbyn's Sören Termander got control of the ball when Göran Johansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Göran Johansson was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Göran Johansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Sören Termander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 56 minutes into the match, Göran Johansson notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Gunnarsbyn's Sören Termander. Sören Termander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th minute, Alexander Askestät hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Söderberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Allan Lundqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Göran Johansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sören Termander having to make a save. 70 minutes into the game, Skinnskatteberg's Göran Johansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sören Termander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. In the 77th minute of the match, Leif Söderberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Allan Lundqvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 82nd minute of the match, Per Stigsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Allan Lundqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Per Stigsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunnarsbyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Stigsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Lundqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Allan Lundqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leif Söderberg in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes, Alexander Askestät mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skinnskatteberg and the Gunnarsbyn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allan Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Stigsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Skinnskatteberg got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Askestät. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Stigsson in the 92nd minute of play forced Skinnskatteberg's goalkeeper Allan Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Arne Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Skinnskatteberg walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
