An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Åman in the 18th minute of play forced Vänge's goalkeeper Konrad Kielberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hjalmar Bäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Birger Brandin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Vänge got a freekick which was hit by Christian Rolfsson. Åmål's Bengt-Arne Åman got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Konrad Kielberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Arne Åman, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute, Andreas Fribäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt-Arne Åman took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Konrad Kielberg. Konrad Kielberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 45th minute Ola Backman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrad Kielberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Eckegren was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ola Backman during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Åmål got a freekick which was hit by Ola Backman. Birger Brandin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Eckegren's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Vänge's Kasper Hake got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Axel Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. Esbjörn Jakobsson hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Bengt-Arne Åman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 92nd minute, Vänge's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bengt-Arne Åman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Axel Eckegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Brandin having to interfere. Åmål's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
