Gustaf Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Salkvist having to interfere. Vallda's Fredrik Strömberg got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Ekenberg charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl Ekenberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Karl Ekenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match Harry Smitt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Salkvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fredrik Strömberg succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Lukas Kling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bengt-Arne Kellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Vallda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Smitt to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Arne Kellberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukas Kling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hovshaga AIF were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Vallda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fredrik Deckberg took the corner. Hovshaga AIF's Fredrik Deckberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bengt-Arne Kellberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 33rd minute, Sivert Svensson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes of play, Vallda's Fredrik Strömberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Salkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sivert Svensson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Salkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. When Evert Samuelsson fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hovshaga AIF's protests and gave Evert Samuelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Christian Salkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Strömberg in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ingvar Vollander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hovshaga AIF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Vollander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Arne Kellberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustav Stenberg hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Salkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Hovshaga AIF's Sixten Lång got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 87th minute, Harry Smitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Vallda's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Deckberg came free, but Bengt-Arne Kellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Hovshaga AIF got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Hermansson. Hovshaga AIF's Christian Salkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Strömberg in the 90th minute of play. Claes Ingvall's late challenge caught a Hovshaga AIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claes Ingvall helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vallda's Claes Ingvall got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Ingvar Vollander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Vallda supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vallda would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
