Eskil Gallberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Sven-Arne Säv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torpshammar's supporters rose to their feet, but Leif Clementsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Arne Säv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eskil Gallberg in the 24th minute of play forced SAIPA's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Säv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Leif Clementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torpshammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Clementsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leif Clementsson was the one to do the kick off. Marc Björling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rickard Biörk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Torpshammar's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Björling came free, but Rickard Biörk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilgot Hamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Biörk having to interfere. SAIPA's Marc Björling got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edwin Haegg's late challenge caught a Torpshammar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edwin Haegg helped the player get up and apologised. Edwin Haegg hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Sven-Arne Nordal kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The Torpshammar fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Torpshammar's Eskil Gallberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rickard Biörk came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by SAIPA's Sven-Arne Nordal. But to his dismay, Sven-Arne Nordal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sven-Arne Säv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Clementsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Leif Clementsson hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Torpshammar's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
