The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Gunning for Glory getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. The goalkeeper, Billy Höijer, was totally fooled by Lappträsk's Malte Arenberg, who 10 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Gunnar Asplund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Billy Höijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Pilberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ola Westerberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Asplund in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billy Höijer saved Gunning for Glory from getting behind. Gunning for Glory's Billy Höijer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Asplund in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Gunning for Glory's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Pilberg came free, but Billy Höijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Pilberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Billy Höijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunnar Asplund in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Billy Höijer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Malte Arenberg's late challenge caught a Gunning for Glory's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malte Arenberg helped the player get up and apologised. Malte Arenberg hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Ivar Lind sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lappträsk's Johnny Hamnberg didn't even have to move. Johnny Hamnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Westerberg in the 69th minute of play. Billy Höijer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Pilberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lappträsk's Gunnar Asplund in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gunning for Glory's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lappträsk the free kick. Gunnar Asplund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Höijer having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Douglas Pilberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lappträsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Pilberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billy Höijer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Billy Höijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Asplund in the 92nd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lappträsk had played much better football throughout.
