The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Göran Hedkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Magne Hedberg notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Fredag's Lars-Erik Wenerdahl. Lars-Erik Wenerdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Göran Hedkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicklas Arenius kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Jan-Olof Olofsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Fredag's Lars-Erik Wenerdahl didn't even have to move. Gunnar Boström kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Fredag's zone, Göran Hedkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars-Erik Wenerdahl came out of the goal and Göran Hedkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magne Hedberg in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Fredag's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Göran Hedkvist came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Vegan Warriors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Hedkvist couldn't finish the play. Lars-Erik Wenerdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Bern, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Fredag's zone, Göran Hedkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars-Erik Wenerdahl came out of the goal and Göran Hedkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Magne Hedberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes FC Fredag got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Billvall. In the 45th minute, Magne Hedberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Göran Hedkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Wenerdahl having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christoffer Harman was the one to do the kick off. When Nicklas Arenius fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Fredag's protests and gave Nicklas Arenius a yellow card for diving instead. Nicklas Arenius kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Hedkvist in the 60th minute of play forced FC Fredag's goalkeeper Lars-Erik Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Andreas Engström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pontus Ekström. Vegan Warriors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Engström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Fredag fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Andreas Engström hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Göran Hedkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lars-Erik Wenerdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Hedkvist in the 75th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Andreas Engström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pontus Ekström was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Göran Hedkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lars-Erik Wenerdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Bremming's late challenge caught a FC Fredag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Bremming helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Christoffer Harman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fredag's supporters rose to their feet, but Christoffer Harman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pontus Ekström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 101 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vegan Warriors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herbert Karlstedt was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Fredag's players had a chance to rest. When the final whistle sounded Vegan Warriors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Fredag.
