The norr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Axel Sundberg should have stopped the shot. Martin Eskilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Axel Sundberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Billy Jakobsson came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the norr fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Jakobsson couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Martin Eskilsson sped through norr's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Axel Sundberg. Axel Sundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Eskilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Nordström in the 27th minute of play forced norr's goalkeeper Axel Sundberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Gunnar Nordström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but norr's Axel Sundberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Martin Eskilsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Axel Sundberg was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Billy Jakobsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, one of norr:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for norr. But to his dismay, Martin Eskilsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Eskilsson in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Axel Sundberg saved norr from getting behind. Axel Sundberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Eskilsson in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Billy Jakobsson was the one to do the kick off. norr's Axel Sundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Eskilsson in the 54th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72nd play minutes Martin Eskilsson shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Axel Sundberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Leonardo Håning charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Håning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes norr got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Håning. Axel Sundberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gunnar Nordström in the 77th minute. With a little luck, norr's Axel Sundberg got control of the ball when Gunnar Nordström tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, Malmö FF's Torsten Johansson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 84th minute, norr's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gunnar Nordström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 88 minutes into the match, Gunnar Nordström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Axel Sundberg. norr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunnar Nordström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. The norr fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Malmö FF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
