The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arne Eriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Sala BK's goal looked a bit too open when Eskil Jakobsson came free, but Arne Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Stig-Åke Björkqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Glanselius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Bollström having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvin Nyberg during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oliver Engström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Eriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Aron Glanselius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Bollström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28thth minute of the game Oliver Engström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sala BK's Arne Eriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kjell Bollström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Glanselius in the 29th minute of play. Arne Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Engström in the 31st minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Sala BK's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Engström came free, but Arne Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aron Glanselius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Lars Nordlander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Eriksson having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Rolf Bohlin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arne Eriksson. Rolf Bohlin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. If Eskil Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximilian Hultstrand blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kjell Bollström having to make a save. After 68 minutes of play, Sala BK's Aron Glanselius made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kjell Bollström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Sala BK's goalkeeper Arne Eriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliver Engström. Sala BK's Arne Eriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Sala BK from getting a goal against them. If Eskil Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
