The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sten Josefsson's late challenge caught a IF Kingsborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sten Josefsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of IF Kingsborough booed when BK Dykardoja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. IF Kingsborough's Sigvard Klementsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Ekman in the 14th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 15th minute when Karl Forssberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lennart Ekman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sigvard Klementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, one of BK Dykardoja:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave IF Kingsborough a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Malte Odman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BK Dykardoja's Alexander Drewitz. 1-1. Sigvard Klementsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennart Ekman's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Lennart Ekman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sigvard Klementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Sjöö charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Sjöö the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, John Sjöö hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sigvard Klementsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Ekman in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Lennart Ekman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BK Dykardoja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The IF Kingsborough players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BK Dykardoja were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Forssberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexander Drewitz came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by IF Kingsborough's Evert Lindström. But to his dismay, Evert Lindström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 62 minutes into the game, IF Kingsborough's Evert Lindström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Drewitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 67th minute, Robin Kellberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. IF Kingsborough's Evert Lindström got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Kellberg took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexander Drewitz. Alexander Drewitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. In the 73rd match minute, IF Kingsborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Molander to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when BK Dykardoja's Lennart Ekman fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. IF Kingsborough's Sigvard Klementsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Forssberg in the 76th minute of play. Sigvard Klementsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Forssberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Lennart Ekman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sigvard Klementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennart Ekman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Sigvard Klementsson made a huge save. After 82 played minutes BK Dykardoja got a freekick which was hit by Alfons Bergqvist. Alexander Drewitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Kellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind IF Kingsborough's goalkeeper Sigvard Klementsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Lennart Ekman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Sigvard Klementsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karl Forssberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Sigvard Klementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Filip Knutsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by IF Kingsborough's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bengt-Åke Billström was slow to take the kick. During this time BK Dykardoja's players had a chance to rest.
