After a defensive mix-up in Long Ridge Rebels's zone, Niklas Tunberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Njurenius came out of the goal and Niklas Tunberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bollebygd IK's Ian Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Vallengren in the 70th minute of play. If Per-Arne Bratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åke Benett tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Ian Tunander. The supporters of Bollebygd IK booed when Long Ridge Rebels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Ekegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Long Ridge Rebels's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
