After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Mats Ekblom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Funäsdalen RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mats Ekblom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars-Erik Hylander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot by John Löv from long distance, 5 minutes into the match, got Lars-Erik Hylander's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Harald Törnqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harald Törnqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Harald Törnqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mats Ekblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, Elof Grönberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Patrick Asmundsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jens-Erik Almqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Jens-Erik Almqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Patrick Asmundsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Hrvatska FC's Elof Grönberg got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Hrvatska FC defense, Per-Åke Gustavsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars-Erik Hylander. The Hrvatska FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars-Erik Hylander should have stopped the shot. If August Sigfridsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Asmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elof Grönberg in the 41st minute of the match. Patrick Asmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elof Grönberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the game, Mats Ekblom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Funäsdalen RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hrvatska FC the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mats Ekblom made a kick off. August Sigfridsson's late challenge caught a Funäsdalen RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. August Sigfridsson helped the player get up and apologised. August Sigfridsson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Jens-Erik Almqvist's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Patrick Asmundsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mats Ekblom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Funäsdalen RK's Mats Ekblom got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Elof Grönberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Asmundsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Erik Almqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Elof Grönberg came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Hrvatska FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elof Grönberg couldn't finish the play. Elof Grönberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Patrick Asmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mats Ekblom struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Lars-Erik Hylander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Funäsdalen RK. In the 76thth minute of the game Per-Åke Gustavsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hrvatska FC's Lars-Erik Hylander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Funäsdalen RK's Mats Ekblom got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per-Åke Gustavsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Lars-Erik Hylander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hrvatska FC's Ian Thedin got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hrvatska FC's zone, Per-Åke Gustavsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars-Erik Hylander came out of the goal and Per-Åke Gustavsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lars-Erik Hylander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Törnqvist in the 92nd minute of the match.
