The referee gave Gullringen FK a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Timmy Odin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sävsjö's Henrik Sillén. 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Ola Klementsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Johnsson. Gullringen FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ola Klementsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ola Klementsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Johnsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Timmy Odin hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Mark Botvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Sävsjö defense, Roy Hjälm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrik Sillén. The Sävsjö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrik Sillén should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Gullringen FK's Patrick Johnsson got control of the ball when Ola Klementsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Birger Benet fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sävsjö's protests and gave Birger Benet a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ola Klementsson to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Roy Hjälm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Henrik Sillén was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Timmy Odin. After having played for 82 minutes, Mark Botvidsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullringen FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Botvidsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Gullringen FK's Roy Hjälm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henrik Sillén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Sävsjö:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gullringen FK:s goal. Sävsjö:s Henrik Sillén showed great skill when he stopped Timmy Odin:s penalty. 90 minutes into the game, Timmy Odin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Henrik Sillén was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded Gullringen FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sävsjö.
