With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Rune Nyberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Timmy Albohm charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timmy Albohm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Vallentuna IF got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Albohm. In the 27th minute, Brian Spets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Nilsson in the 31st minute of play forced Ungdom United's goalkeeper Bengt-Rune Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tom Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Ungdom United's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Nilsson came free, but Bengt-Rune Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Timmy Albohm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bengt-Rune Nyberg. Ungdom United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmy Albohm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 47th minute Frank Brummer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Nilsson took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bengt-Rune Nyberg. Bengt-Rune Nyberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Frank Brummer made the kick off in the second half. Joachim Vennerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Ek in the 56th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ungdom United's Bengt-Rune Nyberg got control of the ball when Patrik Nilsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vallentuna IF's Joachim Vennerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Ek in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Frank Brummer notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ungdom United's Bengt-Rune Nyberg. Bengt-Rune Nyberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bengt-Rune Nyberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Nilsson in the 73rd minute. Bengt-Rune Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Brummer, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ungdom United's Bengt-Rune Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Brummer in the 88th minute of play. Bengt-Rune Nyberg was a little too slow when Patrik Nilsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrik Nilsson got free with Bengt-Rune Nyberg in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the game, Vallentuna IF's Frank Brummer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Rune Nyberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5.
